On Sat Feb 20th 2021 Tim opened for Peter Black - "Blackie" from the Hard Ons - at Tym Guitars in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. Owner Tim Brennan had a long history of putting on free all-ages shows in his shop and supporting Brisbane's wider punk scene in general.

It was a hot day. Tim's set includes 4 Screamfeeder songs, 4 from WE ALL WANT TO and one 'solo song'. Blackie was awesome as always, playing songs from his 2 newest solo albums.

We didn't know it at the time but this was to be his last in-store gig; after a year of Covid restrictions Tim decided to close the shop for good a few weeks later. Tym guitars still exists and will continue providing guitars, amps and amazing custom distortion pedals via tymguitars.com.au.

I Was Cruel is my absolute favourite Magic Dirt track. I prefer the 9-minute 10" version with Daniel which hasn't been reissued since the 90s (hopefully soon!) but the album version with Dave T is still an absolute beast. Adam's drumming throughout this album is astounding. peterbarkercurated
